World-class tech to be adopted for Orissa project:Arcelor Mittal CEO.

The world's best possible technology would be adopted at the Patna green field project in Keonjhar district and Jharkhand project, Chief Executive Officer of Arcelor Mittal (India) Vijay Bhatnagar said at a one-day workshop here on Monday.
CEO Bhatnagar said 20 high level technocrats from Europe, Brazil and Spain are engaged for these two projects for formulating a corporate social responsibility (CSR) plan. CEO of the Orissa project Sanak Mishra informed that Acelor Mittal would spend Rs 1,200 crore for the rehabilitation and resettlement of displaced people of 14 villages to be affected by the project at Patna in accordance with R&R Policy, 2006 of the State Government.
Mishra also informed that there is a plan to set up an ITI at Rajanagar for which the required 10 acre of Government land has been identified along with initial upgradation of medical facilities in Swampatna, Kendeiposi, Turmunga and Rajanagar in Patna and Keonjhar Hospital to develop the health and education infrastructure.
District Collector Bipin Behari Mohapatra urged the residents of the mineral rich district to come forward and join hands for this mega steel project. District Superinten-dent of Police Soumendra Priydarshi welcoming the initiative of CSR expressed this will usher in an new era for the whole district including stakeholders of Patna.
