Documentaries to be made on eminent personalities of Orissa .

The Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department will produce a series of documentary films on the lives and times of the great sons of the soil. A meeting at the Secretariat here on Tuesday chaired by I&PR Minister Debasis Nayak and attended by freedom fighter Bhawani Charan Patnaik, Khandapada legislator Bijaylaxmi Patnaik, I&PR Commissioner Gopinath Mohanty and director Baishnab Prasad Mohanty discussed details of the project. The films would be screened throughout the State on festive occasions.Sources said that the department would spend around Rs.13 lakh in making of at least 18 such documentaries. Filmmakers with a proven track record in documentary film making would be roped in for the project, they added.
