Kosal Liberation Day on April 1: DOSA opposes it.

Pioneer News Service | Bhubaneswar

The Kosal Kranti Dal, a new political party registered recently with the Election Commission of India, will observe April 1 as the Kosal Liberation Day amid a gathering of around 20,000 people, said its leader Pramod Mishra at the party's Central General Council (CGC) meeting at Balangir on March 23.According to a Press release, the month-long awareness campaign (Jatha), which was launched on February 26, was reviewed at the meeting. Misra said the campaign touched around 3,000 villages and the people's response was overwhelming. In terms of the party's programme after its registration with the Election Commission, the April 1 congregation would create a kind of self-confidence and gear the party workers to face the next election, said party's secretary general and spokesman Baidyanath Mishra. The party would come up with its election strategy in April, which would be announced at a Press conference in Bhubaneswar, he added.

Delhi Oriya Students Association (DOSA) is opposing any move in the name of Kosal,as DOSA strongly believe that it is the creation of some politicians who are anti-national and even can sell their motherland or state for their own selfish political purpose.

It is a very shameful thing that some bad leaders spreading an Anti-Orissa feeling among Wester Orissa descent people. They are playing with their emotions.

I deeply condemn and oppose the observation of KOSAL DIVAS on UTKAL DIVAS. And request all Wester Orissa people to ignore such type of misleading words which may create disparity among us. We all are equal. Truly bears the essence of Oriya culture. VANDE UTKAL JANANI". Santosh
