Australia wants sector-specific expertise for Orissa

The Australian Trade Commission (ATC) in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) on Monday organised a seminar on 'Doing Business with Australia' with special focus on business in Orissa.
Speaking at the seminar the Commissioner of the Australia Trade Commission Michael Carter said, "His country can provide value-added competitive solutions and expertise both in traditional and emerging sectors for business in Orissa. The Australian Trade Commission has embarked on a focused strategy to provide technology, expertise and solutions for Indian business in the areas of resources, mining and energy, infrastructure, building and construction, food and beverage, agri-business, film, media and entertainment and retail and financial services."
Carter also informed that India has become the most significant export market for Australia and is demonstrated as the fourth biggest expert market. The seminar basically showcased the services offered by the Australian Trade Commission for business in Orissa.
Moreover, the seminar was aiming at identifying Australian business partners, technology, products, services and expertise that are now helping Orissa in redefining its business potentiality.The experts informed that some of the Australian companies have been active in Orissa.
